Vortex flowmeter measurement principle and characteristics:

Vortex flowmeter is a new type of flowmeter based on the principle of Karman vortex flow. It is suitable for flowmeter measurement of superheated steam, saturated steam, ordinary gas, and non-corrosive liquids.

The on-site display vortex street has the characteristics of miniaturization, micro power consumption, intelligence, etc., and realizes the measurement, display and accumulation of flow parameters. Now the display instrument can be used in an environment with inconvenient power supply. The instrument adopts ultra-low power consumption chip, which is easy to operate and is in the leading level among similar products.

Installation conditions:

The vortex sensor should be installed on the horizontal, vertical and inclined (the medium flows from bottom to top) with the same diameter as its pipeline. The upstream and downstream of the vortex flowmeter should be equipped with a certain length of straight pipe, and its length should be consistent with the previous straight pipe. The minimum is 10D, and the straight pipe section is 5D.

1. The installation pipeline should be filled with the medium to be measured

2. It should be avoided to install on the pipeline with strong mechanical vibration

3. The inner diameter of the pipe should be the same as the inner diameter of the sensor. If it is not the same, the pipe with a slightly larger diameter than the flowmeter should be used, and the error should be ≤3% and cannot exceed 5mm.

4. If there are many impurities in the measured medium, a filter should be added to the length of the straight pipe section upstream of the sensor.

5. The instrument should be avoided to be installed in places with strong electromagnetic interference, small space and inconvenient maintenance

Vortex flowmeter selection:

1. The material can be SS304 or SS316L,

2. With and without temperature and pressure compensation,

3. The conventional type is suitable for medium temperature -40℃-250℃,

4. The high temperature type is suitable for medium temperature -40℃-350℃. If the medium temperature exceeds 250℃, you need to use a split type, pulse vortex + flow totalizer, if with temperature and pressure compensation, you need pulse vortex flowmeter + product calculator + pressure transmitter + temperature sensor,
